Immobilization Technique of Carbon Materials by Photoactive Interfaces and its Application to Micro Separations
Project Gist
Revolution for separation science using carbon nano-materials
Keywords
Carbon nano-material, Photo/thermal coupling agent, Liquid phase separation, Chromatography
Background, Purpose, and Project Achievements
To develop a new separation medium using carbon-nano-materials, we prepared the separation medium via photo/thermal coupling agent. The silica-monolithic medium attached C60-fullerene provided the specific separation based on π-π interaction and unique spherical recognition ability.
Future Prospects
According to the results from this project, we will carry out the development of a separation medium for specific separation based on dispersion interaction and application to the effective separation of sugars in bio-samples.
