Investigation on the gain-of-function process by the formation of nanoparticle assemblage using DNA origami

Project Gist

Precious positioning technology using biomolecules

Keywords

DNA origami, Nanoparticle superstructure, Interaction between nanomaterials

Background and Purpose

The precious integration technology of nanomaterial is an important subject for the development of next generation nanoelectronics and photonics. In this project, we developed the novel integration technique of nanomaterial with ultra high resolution using biomolecules.

Project Achievements

Our novel technology for integration of nanoparticles onto DNA origami approached the realization of the bottom up technology with the positioning capability of single nm. In addition, through the holding of three international symposiums, we formed interdisciplinary and international networks.

Future Prospects

Realization of two- and three-dimensional precise integration of nanoparticles using the DNA origami.
